Role Overview – Director Tourism Development

The Director Tourism Development will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and executing strategic tourism initiatives across Pakistan. This position requires a strong understanding of tourism trends, destination development, investment facilitation, and stakeholder engagement, with a clear focus on sustainable growth and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term tourism development strategies aligned with national and organizational goals

• Identify and promote new tourism products, destinations, and investment opportunities

• Lead initiatives to strengthen destination branding, marketing, and international visibility

• Collaborate with government departments, private sector partners, investors, and local communities

• Oversee research studies, feasibility assessments, and execution of tourism-related projects

• Ensure all tourism initiatives adhere to sustainability standards and responsible tourism practices

• Drive revenue growth, improve visitor satisfaction, and enhance overall tourism experiences

• Lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Proven experience in tourism development, hospitality management, or destination planning

• Strong strategic planning, leadership, and project management capabilities

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

• Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to innovate and deliver impactful results

• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse partners at national and international levels
