Position: Outreach Phlebotomist
Location: Head Office, North Nazimabad Campus, Karachi

Job Summary:
Dr. Ziauddin Hospital is seeking a responsible and skilled Outreach Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from outreach centers, contractual partners, and patients’ homes as required. The role also involves handling sample labeling, data entry, cash collection, and dispatching samples to the relevant lab departments. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely laboratory services for our outreach clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect blood samples at outreach centers, contractual partner facilities, and patient homes

• Follow daily visit schedules and on-call assignments

• Handle proper phlebotomy procedures ensuring patient safety and accuracy

• Label and dispatch samples to the relevant laboratory departments for processing

• Collect and manage cash payments according to hospital guidelines

• Coordinate with lab departments to ensure timely reporting and resolve sample-related queries

• Maintain proper records of sample collection, patient information, and payments

• Provide phlebotomy services to contractual clients if required

• Remain available for home sample collection or outreach center assignments

• Perform any other tasks assigned by superior management

Knowledge & Competencies:

• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures

• Valid motorbike license for patient/home visits

• Good computer literacy for data entry and reporting

• Strong communication and decision-making skills

• Reading and writing proficiency

Requirements:

• Academic Qualification: Intermediate, preferably Graduate

• Professional Qualification: Diploma in Phlebotomy, Lab Technician, or Lab Technologist

• Work Experience: 1 year at Ziauddin Hospital or 2 years of related experience

• Competency test clearance is mandatory
